NAAIM Activities / Events:

NAAIM events have one purpose – to help the membership become more successful. To this end, we offer our traditional annual conference, supplemented by two-day CRAM and Active Exchange sessions, webinars and teleconference calls throughout the year.

These opportunities to meet face-to-face are complemented by NAAIM member-only chatrooms, membership emails, the Active Manager newsletter and other activities.

Sponsorship and advertising opportunities are available on most of these forums, and are elaborated on in Sponsorship Opportunities.

Uncommon Knowledge Annual Conference
Held each spring, the location of the Uncommon Knowledge conference rotates throughout major metropolitan areas of the U.S. to provide a new setting and varying convenience for the members each year. In addition to presentations focusing on trading techniques, marketing ideas, back office and compliance issues, new investment vehicles and other topics of concern to the membership, the annual conference offers opportunities for networking through the annual Golf Classic, special events, evening receptions, refreshment breaks and roundtable discussions.

Active Exchange Focus Session

CRAM Sessions
CRAM or Cultivating Relationships Among Managers Sessions are designed to focus on specific topics of concern to the NAAIM membership, such as marketing, compliance challenges, or trading tactics, in a more intensive format than is available at the annual conferences. A typical CRAM session is held from 1 p.m. to 1 p.m, bridging a 24-hour period to facilitate travel and to allow the managers to enjoy dinner together.

Teleconferences and Webinars
These periodic events are designed to focus on single subject issues and generally bring an expert in the subject to share ideas with the NAAIM members.

Active Manager newsletter
The Active Manager offers an exchange of ideas between the NAAIM investment advisor members, associate members and others on topics of value to an active manager. The newsletter is available to non-members as a pdf document, distributed via email.
