Victor Sperandeo
Victor Sperandeo, known as “Trader Vic”, is a professional Wall Street trader and investment adviser. He has 40+ years’ experience on Wall Street trading commodities, stocks, bonds, futures and options. He has done so both independently and for, among others, George Soros, Leon Cooperman and BT Alex Brown. Victor is widely regarded as an expert in commodities, particularly in the Energy and Metals sectors. He has written two best selling books detailing his trading methodologies: Trader Vic – Methods of a Wall Street Masterand Trader Vic II – Principles of Professional Speculation.He currently manages an offshore S&P DTI Tracker fund and runs a separately managed S&P CTI account for HSBC. Additionally, he runs several successful hedge fund strategies with track records exceeding five years. These hedge fund strategies employ unique combinations commodity, stock and financial futures.
Reginald M. Browne, Director of the ETF Index Product Group for Fimat USA, now NewEdge, began his career as a trading associate in the index volatility arbitrage unit with O’Connor and Associates a predecessor firm of UBS. In 1995, he joined Susquehanna International Group as a market maker in the index group in New York and is widely recognized as the first market maker in the ETF industry. Reggie played a key role in the success of the SPDR Trust ETF (SPY) and was a participant in the formation of the NASDAQ 100, (QQQQ). In 2002, when the NYSE moved into ETF trading, he was named President & CEO of Susquehanna Index Specialist on the New York Stock Exchange where he led the ETF Specialist unit.
Ed Lopez is responsible for the product positioning of Rydex ETFs in the marketplace and continuously conducts detailed analysis of the Rydex ETFs—including competitive analysis and index evaluation. Prior to joining Rydex, he was with Ibbotson Associates for over seven years where he held a number of positions, including senior consultant and investment specialist. At Ibbotson, he created content for use by financial services firms on topics such as asset allocation, retirement distribution strategies, alternative investments and real estate investment trusts. He also served as a financial advisor with American Express Financial Advisors. Ed holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Texas. He has led workshops for financial professionals on portfolio creation and implementation, behavioral finance and the communication of asset allocation concepts to clients. He also participates as a speaker at financial services conferences and symposiums.
